Steve Jun guides INNOCEAN’s philosophy and leads our mission to provide our clients with our brightest thinking, exceptional service, and varied expertise. In addition to his role in the US, Steve also oversees INNOCEAN offices in Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Steve’s leadership brings a unique East-West perspective to today’s global marketplace as he steers INNOCEAN into a new era.
Chief Digital Officer
Steven is a digital native at heart. With over 20 years of experience across website & app development, digital advertising, and emerging technology, he is responsible for digital strategy and operations across INNOCEAN. In addition to developing and executing the agency’s digital vision, Steven will be leading the expansion of the team’s capabilities in the US. He has worked with key clients across automotive, financial services, CPG, telecom, and spirits.

Analytical and creative, Cindy’s strengths run the gamut, from strategic planning and brand integration to operations management and global marketing. Her client-side and agency experience give her a great perspective for developing successful marketing and communications strategies, portfolio management, resource allocation, product innovation and advanced planning.
Chief Creative Officer
Jason Sperling brings his distinguished talent and leadership to the role of Chief Creative Officer. He has an incredible track record for creating iconic work for brands like Apple, Honda, TikTok, Amazon, Disney Pixar and UNICEF Worldwide. He was the genius behind the Apple “Mac vs. PC” campaign which was declared “Campaign of the Decade” by Adweek. He counts numerous Cannes Gold Lions, including an Emmy nomination among his many awards and has developed marketing campaigns that made a difference and have had an impact on culture and the world at large. He’s also authored two books; one on creative leadership and another on building brand attraction in an age of brand aversion.

Jeremy Asselin is a seasoned marketing leader managing overall business operations for Hyundai Motor America at INNOCEAN. Quick to gain the trust and respect of business leaders and teams, Jeremy has a strong track record for streamlining efficiencies and supercharging business operations, particularly during times of transition and change. His brand experience and impact over the years extends to Ford Motor Company, Lincoln-Mercury, Time Inc., Time Warner Cable, and Spectrum (formerly Charter Communications) and the U.S. Tennis Association.

With two decades of experience overseeing all aspects of digital production, budgeting, and team management, Julie has established a reputation for delivering exceptional digital products and services that surpass client expectations. Adept at solving complex problems and thriving in fast-paced environments, she is a natural collaborator who excels at cross-functional team leadership. Currently serving as a key leader in Innocean's day-to-day operations, Julie is committed to driving innovation and growth while prioritizing operational excellence.

Eddie brings over 20 years of experience in integrated communications planning working on a variety of high-profile clients and industries and has consistently helped brands push their limits to develop and deploy First-To-Market and progressive media and marketing solutions.
His work has included national and hyper-local traditional and digital planning, analytic modeling and client services across a large spectrum of accounts including Automotive, Technology, Retail, Sports Marketing, Education, Hospitality, Restaurant, Grocery, Logistics and Financial.

Steph Clements is a storyteller with a deep passion for showcasing the people behind the work. With more than 15 years of in-house and PR agency experience, she brings her strategic vision, fresh perspective, and extensive experience in consumer and B2B communications strategy, media training, crisis, press relations, and thought leadership to her role as Director of Public Relations at INNOCEAN USA.
Executive Creative Director
Gui Borchert is an award-winning Executive Creative Director leading Hyundai Motor America. From Rio to NYC to London and now LA, Gui brings a fresh perspective and a strong track record for turning daring ideas into iconic realties with proof from a powerful creative portfolio for brands like Squarespace, Nike, Google and Adidas. As a designer, writer and director, Gui embodies the explorer mindset at the heart of our agency that enables him to effectively lead across various disciplines.

From her experience working with the world's largest retailer to the country's largest volunteer health organization, Alison has had the good fortune to work with brands at the most transformative times in their history.
Alison started her career working on Lexus; she zigzagged across the country to work on a diverse group of brands, including Jaguar, Patrón, Walmart, AT&T, Blue Diamond Almonds, and the American Cancer Society. Alison oversaw the Patrón Tequila account and the brand team on Acura. Most recently, Alison worked as the Business Lead on Jack in the Box. Alison was also named one of Cynopsis' Top Women in Media in 2019.

Ben Gogley is a numbers guy. Relentless, performance based and results oriented, he’s at the helm of operations for our INNOCEAN Media Group, responsible for about $1B in media billings and finding the best paths in innovation to keep us at the top of our game. Ben currently oversees the UC Davis Health, Hyundai, Genesis, Wienerschnitzel and SKS media accounts.

Laura McDaniel is INNOCEAN USA’s SVP, Digital Strategy and Analytics. Having started her career as a Ph.D. in Anthropology, Laura is passionate about identifying and leveraging the human and cultural insights that motivate brand connections and shopping behaviors…but as the daughter of one of the original “computer nerds,” she approaches every challenge with a digital-first, data-driven mindset. In her decades-long career at agencies including Publicis Sapient, AKQA, R/GA and The Martin Agency, Laura has led digital, e-commerce and innovation strategies for a wide range of retail, automotive, hospitality, health care and financial services brands including Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic, Chrysler, Audi, Visa, Marriott, Hyatt, UPS and Blue Shield of California.

Brandon has had a storied career. He led the global Apple iPad, iPhone and AirPod teams. He also ran point on the Jordan brand. And he wrote a Sundance film to boot. He can write copy, art direct and design, but the special skill he brings to this team is his thoughtful leadership approach and ability to find the soul of a brand.

The proof is in eight of Hyundai’s last Super Bowl spots and everything in between. With Nicolette’s leadership backed by her 20+ years in production, nothing is impossible.

Bob is an award-winning creative director with experience leading large brands to unparalleled success. His awards run the gamut from digital, mobile, and traditional to social and design. His exceptional insights have led to success for a multitude of big brands, including the Grammy’s which experienced a ratings increase of more than 800% when he worked on it. At INNOCEAN, Bob led the efforts for Hyundai that dominated the Super Bowl in 2016-17. In 2016, all three spots landed in the top 6 on USA Today’s Ad Meter, including the #1 spot. It was the first time a car brand had ever won the top spot; it was also the first time that a foreign brand won. Bob specializes in creating culturally relevant messages that resonate with consumers on an emotional level.

It’s no wonder, because Mark was one of the architects who helped drive Hyundai’s US turnaround in the late 90’s with America’s Best Warranty. Honored by Los Angeles Business Journal as one of Southern California's Most Influential Marketers, Mark is now our Managing Director for General Accounts--he leads the charge with account, strategy, social and creative teams that serve all of our non-auto clients.

David has spent over 25 years helping brands and consumers connect. Leading the INNOCEAN experiential team, this work continues on behalf of agency clients Hyundai, Genesis and Supernal, as David and his team bring their brands to life through innovative and exceptional integrated campaigns. From the greens of the PGA TOUR to the runways of the UK, a consistently raised bar ensures that his team is at the forefront of building and executing industry-lauded and award-winning branded experiences.
